Hi,
At our rowing club, we have an RP3 and we attached an Android tablet to it, in a way which makes it difficult to steal it. We recently needed to replace the tablet and with the new tablet, we needed to install the new version of the app (the version with black design). With this new app, we have two problems:
Everytime, we have charged the tablet and again plug in the RP3 device, we need to add the device again in the Device Settings menu. It will not remember the device previously connected.
A workout, once created, cannot be edited or deleted.
Both was no problem with the old version of the software. Could you please fix these problems or provide me a link where I can download the old version of the app?
Thanks in advance for your reply.
@James Doleman - 3.6.1 is the version we are using. The app still keeps forgetting previously connected devices and it is still not possible to edit or delete trainings.
not to my knowledge. Simply I have not had the material for more than a month. So I couldn't verify. The factory finally took control of the French distributor and kindly offered to send me a new RP3 in exchange first one, which I expect to receive shortly. Distributor just told me that they were working an endelling IOS
@Thomas Oblak - The app has been updated a couple of times since this post and now seems much more stable and usable. My recommendation would be to download the latest software, version 3.6.1.
RP3 Rowing for Android - APK Download (apkpure.com)
@James Doleman Is there any news about when a new version, with these problems fixed, will be released?
Thanks for posting this great and knowledgeable post which I really liked.
On our RP3, the display just stopped as well as the Bluetooth.
With this rower has really disappointed after disappointment
Although I consider this rower a very good rower, the equipment and its environment are not at all up to the asking price
- The tablet application does not work (training) We have been waiting for months for a hypothetical Update
- I realized when I plug in the tablet while leaving the RP3 screen visible, the numbers ARE NOT the same
- the cables connected to the battery are too short to do the manipulation. unplug / plug in without pb <= taking into account the display pb I took it out to check that it was good, loaded)
- And finally the display and bluetooth which do not work
We bought this rower to row and progress in complement of our concept 2. It is not really up to par with concept 2 on its environment And instead of paddling we spend our time trying to adjust the application from our tablet, know which figures to take (tablet or screen), take pictures to keep the history of our training ...
And now there are no more figures, there are no more
Hi Patrick,
You need to allow the installation of APK packages from your browser in the Android settings. You wil in deed get all kinds of warning messages, when you do that.
I had installed the 2.13.5 version and it did not show the problems with remembering the device and not being able to delete or edit trainings. However, after a few weeks, the app updated itself to the latest version and the problems reappeared.
Paul from RP3 Rowing in the UK told me that they are working on a fix.
Hello, I bought a Dynamic RP3 in October 2021. As soon as it was purchased due to the much too small screen I connected a new android tablet to it (all my devices are Apple). Only I have the same problem that Thomas the app 3.5 is not working properly. By reading you, I understood and tried to download the application RP3 Rowinf 2.13.5 Only despite the lifting of the download security the tablet refuses the download and the installation of the package which "risks damaging the computer". you a solution as I saturate?
Thanks. I will try that.
Thank you for the feedback. We have reported these issues to the developer. We recommend installing an earlier version of the RP3 Rowing App. You can find previous versions of the App at apkpure.com. You need version 2.13.5.
You will need to remove your current RP3 App before attempting to install the earlier version.
